Introduction: Two observations were carried out after the Coordination “Accueil Temps Libre” in Charleroi in 2015: the first is a massive reduction of activities in the outlying districts of Charleroi; the second is that many children never leave their neighborhood during the holidays and that there are no activities for them. The "1, 2, 3 Soleil!" project was born in the city of Charleroi. The point is make outdoor activities (in parks) for disadvantaged families, in collaboration with the Charleroi associative network and citizens... This project aims at creating connections, developing the children cultural awareness, reinforcing parental support and to create the simple pleasure of playing together in the neighborhood.
Type of Work: Volunteers will help with the everyday logistics and organization (assembly of arbors, moving tables, chairs…). Indeed, in order to meet the children and their families in their living areas, the team and the volunteers have to set up facilities in different places in the city. Volunteers will also be invested for animation in these days: planning of games, sport activities or board games with children and their families. Activities that this public is not used to experience and that are free. Volunteers are invited to propose activities or games related to their own country / culture. The group will also be involved in the creation of some visuals that will be used for the activities.A few working days will be in collaboration with other partners (to be determined).
