This month started with a bit of office buzz, mainly editing videos and planning of further social media content, also participating in one day voluntary activity with the INEX team, but ended up with so many fantastic adventures, at least until the very end of the month, when everything went back to the gray “normal”.
On 6th of September I had a booked plane to Serbia for going to approximately week long workcamp with the main aim to help to prepare for the medieval festival “Knighthood days”. Upon my arrival there I also got to visit the one of the largest Orthodox churches in the whole world named Saint Sava, which interior was just breathtaking, and as always the pictures doesn’t give justice of how beautiful it was.
After that it was time for going to the workcamp place which was located in another Town called Sremski Karlovci, although I arrived safely, the journey had its obstacles, because at the very beginning of my trip I ended up in another city called Novi Sad with 5% phone battery, but luckily it was not far from my station and there were outlets in the train station. During my stay there I met so many amazing people with various talents, and we as the group got pretty well together, maybe it was because we had similar visions of life? I do not know, but I do not think that matters, what matters is that although all from various backgrounds we got along together very well. Anyhow, during our work hours we were preparing things for various workshops, like pottery, sword fighting, shield making, ring throwing and many more. It was fun since majority of our work involved creative activities, such as sewing, pottery, modelling and painting. On our free time we got to explore the town, also famous Novi Sad, go wine tasting, watch a movie, have BBQ and play many games, oh and we also had cultural night, where we could show anything interesting about our country, which was cool. I wish I had some snacks which I could have offered, but unfortunately I didn’t. The only pity regarding my Serbian adventure was that the festival got post-poned, but hey at least the organizators sent us pictures of when it happened, which was kind-hearted.
After my adventure in Serbia I went to a trip to mainly Copenhagen with my friends, however, before that we also saw a concert, which was so fabulous and with amazing acoustics. When I was at Copenhagen it sort of felt more closer to home, perhaps because of the climate and so many greeneries, the air was just more familiar and I felt more at ease.
After my travels it was time to return back to Bratislava, help with my flatmates organized tea meeting and in the middle do some crafts. At the very end there was another one day volunteering activity related to cleaning, the most fun part was cutting the squerlls though and after that I got to meet a friend of mine, visit medieval market and do some other crafts, watch movies and everything autumn like.
That’s all, see ya, Eve
