A fun afternoon for both kids and adults is traditionally held on Saturday, on the eve of Mother’s Day. The event is organized by Family Center Prešporkovo and Union of Mother Centers as the largest Mother’s Day celebration in Slovakia.
Anyone can take part in the symbolic one-mile (1.6 km) walk for mums – on foot, with a baby in a stroller, or even carrying a child on their shoulders…
The event will take place on Saturday, 9.5.2026, in the Grassalkovich (Presidential) Garden in Bratislava.
Mums can relax while the kids have fun.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS to help at children’s activity stations, with registration, setting up the stations on-site, and cleaning up the garden after the event.

This year marks the 23rd edition of Mile for Mom, taking place in 40 locations. Through this event, we honor all women who became mothers when a child entered their family.
Let’s come together to thank all moms, grandmothers, godmothers, and adoptive mothers for their dedication, understanding, care, and love.
