Ahojte!
This review is only for half of the month, since it’s time for me to leave Slovakia! It’s incredible that this is already the end of my project… I really can’t believe it!
In this article, I share with you my last activities with INEX, how I feel about my departure and it’s also the time for the final goodbye. 🙂
December started with a visit of the Christmas market in Bratislava. It’s very different from the ones I know but I really like it because it’s very traditional. And if you are hungry or thirsty, you will find what you need for sure. But the thing is that the prices are a bit expensive… more or less the same as in the Christmas markets in Vienna!
I spent the first weekend of December in Banská Štiavnica for Zážitkovica, an event organised by INEX. I liked it very much, the workshops about multitasking, how to give feedback and leadership were very interesting (mostly thanks to the amazing trainers!). With Geoffroy, we also presented the outcomes of our project here, so participants could know more about ESC, about volunteering and living abroad in general. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere with people, I knew most of them but I still have met new people! We had team building activities and also an evening at the tea house, so we could spend nice time together.
The next Wednesday, we celebrated Saint Nicholas at Integra. Geoffroy was dressed as Saint Nicholas and me as an angel. It was so nice to spend time with the clients and also to give them presents, they looked happy and it was so nice for us to see them with big smiles on their face.
And we ended the week with the Christmas party at INEX on Friday. There were many people and it was also the perfect time for INEX to thank everyone who has helped them this year! A tombola was also organised and we had the possibility to make creative activities and play some games.
At the office I’m also finishing some tasks before I leave, like my YouthPass for example and also a YouTube video about my workcamp in Iceland.
But I have to say that I’m writing this article with a bitter taste… but all good things come to an end… So I try to focus on the positive! I am really glad for this year and I can only thank all the person that I’ve met here, they made this experience wonderful and unforgettable, each of them will stay in my heart forever. This year was the best year of my life, every moment – even the most difficult – taught me something.
I wish you a life filled with lots of happiness and joy. ❤❤❤
