The weekend camp combines fun with voluntary help to the local community. The camp is intended for all those who want to “escape” from a sedentary lifestyle, from the busy cities, break out of the everyday stereotype and experience something new. Thanks to the participation in the weekend camp, you will relax, gain new energy and strength, and at the same time help where help is needed.

Volunteering help: On Saturday (up to 6 hours) and Sunday (up to 4 hours), volunteers will help build stone walls and a brick walkway at the Renaissance Vineyard House. The individual tasks do not require any special skills.

Accommodation and food: Volunteers will be accommodated in the heated rooms of the Renaissance vineyard house or in a heated house in the town of Svätý Jur. You must bring your own sleeping bag. Volunteers will be provided with three meals a day, including at least one hot meal.

Camp location: The 17th-century Renaissance house in Svätý Jur is a national cultural monument. It is a house steeped in history. Svätý Jur is a town known for its vineyards and winemaking, featuring typical terraced vineyards near Bratislava. The town is surrounded by unique terraced vineyards at the foot of the Little Carpathians. The historic center of Svätý Jur was declared a municipal heritage reserve in 1990.

How to get to the camp: Take the train to the Svätý Jur train station or the bus to the Svätý Jur, Krajinská stop.

What you need to bring: sleeping bag, work clothes, strong shoes, work gloves and good mood 🙂

Participation fee: 20 EUR (The contribution helps us cover a small part of the costs of the event. At the same time, the contribution represents an expression of interest in participating in the event. Local partner: The Renaissance Vineyard House civic association was founded by two families—the Grňovci and the Lörincovci—who began as INEX volunteers at Čierny hrad. The association’s goal is to renovate the historic Renaissance winegrower’s house in Svätý Jur. The house dates back to the 17th century.
