Safety on the activities

At INEX, the safety of all participants is our priority. We create a safe and supportive environment at activities.

How do we protect participants on our activities?

  • Alliance Quality Charter – as members of the international network Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations, we are committed to the international standards set by this network.
  • European Solidarity Corps Charter – as an organisation holding the EU Solidarity Corps Quality Label, we are committed to the following these rules.
  • Code of Ethics and Conduct – an internal document with moral rules; volunteers (leaders, trainers, long-term volunteers of the ESC) are guided by clear rules of conduct towards all participants of our activities.
  • Training of camp leaders – our leaders must complete a training programme accredited by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic (accreditation number AKPSM/0065/2021/3/001) called Managing Volunteers in a Multicultural Environment and complete a first aid course.
  • Safety rules – safety training is part of every activity, the organisers assess the risks and create a safe environment. There is a designated person responsible for first aid and we have a first aid kit at each activity.
  • Credibility of volunteers (leaders, trainers, long-term ESC volunteers) – we supervise volunteers who help us with the organisation of activities.
  • Incident Reporting – Participants have the option to report any concerns or suspicions directly to leaders, trainers, event organisers, to the emergency contact listed in the information kit or directly to safety@inex.sk.
  • Emergency contact – participants have a direct contact to our staff member who is responsible for the event in the information kit they receive before the event.
  • Local partners – partner organizations in Slovakia, with whom we cooperate in the organization of events, belong to our proven partners and the selection of new partners is subject to a rigorous selection process.
  • Credibility of partner organisations abroad – partnerships with foreign organisations are subject to annual evaluation, we meet our foreign partners in person at least 2 times a year.
  • Verified civic association – we have been organizing the actvities since 1993. We are accredited with the ‘Accreditation in the field of volunteer activities’ by the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic, ‘Quality Label’ of the European Solidarity Corps as a leading, hosting and supporting organization by NIVAM – National Agency of the EU Programme European Solidarity Corps.
  • Crisis Management – an internal document that our employees follow in the event of a crisis situation at our events.
