One-day volunteering activities

We organise these activities for the duration of a single morning or a full day, mostly in Bratislava.

Volunteering activities are varied: preparing a program for St. Nicholas‘ Day, International Children’s Day, helping out with interior or exterior maintenance of the centres (e.g. pruning trees, mowing grass, painting fences, cleaning playing items and toys, and others).

For example, at the Haanova Kindergarten, Lachova Primary School, Prešporkovo Family Centre, DSS Integra (where our friends with disabilities are) in Bratislava and if you have an idea for more, write to us.

Get involved and spend your day in a meaningful way. Fun with funny people from the office is guaranteed 🙂

 

Corporate volunteering

We organize one-day volunteering activities for companies in Bratislava. E.g. a trip with friends with disabilities from DSS Integra, landscaping the garden at Haanova Kindergarten, painting the fence at Lachova Elementary School, trimming bushes, picking up trash, etc.
Activities are tailored to the company. We have 31 years of experience in organizing volunteering activities.

  • Volunteering Activity: Earth Day 22.4.2026 (9:30-12:30)

     

    Join us and celebrate Earth Day in a meaningful way by helping both nature and the community.

    Earth Day, observed every year on April 22, is a global initiative focused on environmental protection. It’s a day when we become more aware than ever of the impact our behavior has on the planet, and at the same time an opportunity to take a concrete step toward improving it.

    And that’s exactly the kind of step you can take with us.

    📅 Date: April 22, 2026
    🕘 Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM (arrival at 9:15 AM)
    📍 Location: ZŠ Lachova, Lachova 1, Bratislava

    What can you expect?
    Together, we’ll help improve the school grounds and its surroundings. The volunteer activity will focus on work in the school garden and will mainly include:

    • trimming bushes and trees
    • weeding garden beds
    • raking leaves
    • picking up litter around the school grounds and nearby areas

    Every helping hand counts, no matter your experience. All you need is the willingness to help and a positive attitude 😊

    Important information:

    Please bring your own work gloves.
    Light refreshments will be provided.
    In case of bad (rainy) weather, the activity will be rescheduled to a later date.

  • We are looking for volunteers for the activity Mile for Mum 9.5.2026 (14:00 - 19:00)

     

    A fun afternoon for both kids and adults is traditionally held on Saturday, on the eve of Mother’s Day. The event is organized by Family Center Prešporkovo and  Union of Mother Centers as the largest Mother’s Day celebration in Slovakia.

    Anyone can take part in the symbolic one-mile (1.6 km) walk for mums – on foot, with a baby in a stroller, or even carrying a child on their shoulders…

    The event will take place on Saturday, 9.5.2026, in the Grassalkovich (Presidential) Garden in Bratislava.
    Mums can relax while the kids have fun.

    WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS to help at children’s activity stations, with registration, setting up the stations on-site, and cleaning up the garden after the event.
    When: 9.5.2026 14:00 – 19:00

    This year marks the 23rd edition of Mile for Mom, taking place in 40 locations. Through this event, we honor all women who became mothers when a child entered their family.
    Let’s come together to thank all moms, grandmothers, godmothers, and adoptive mothers for their dedication, understanding, care, and love.
