
The weekend camp combines fun with voluntary help to the local community. The camp is intended for all those who want to “escape” from a sedentary lifestyle, from the busy cities, break out of the everyday stereotype and experience something new. Thanks to the participation in the weekend camp, you will relax, gain new energy and strength, and at the same time help where help is needed.

Volunteering help: Volunteers will be helping with the preparation, organization, and cleanup of the community festival “Umenie a víno 2026” in Svätý Jur throughout Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The “Umenie a víno 2026” festival in Svätý Jur is preparing for its 7th edition, which promises once again to combine high-quality art with winemaking tradition. This year’s festival theme is titled LESSS. In a time of constant acceleration and excess, the festival offers a space to slow down, reflect, and return to the essentials. Visitors can look forward to exhibitions, art installations, musical and performance acts in the Renaissance House and in the premises of Academia Istropolitana Nova (Infocentrum). Volunteers will assist throughout the festival with room preparation, photography, workshops, and cleaning the premises after the festival. Individual tasks do not require any special skills.
Accommodation and food: Volunteers will be accommodated in heated premises of the Renaissance Vineyard House in the town of Svätý Jur. It is necessery to bring a sleeping bag. Volunteers will be provided with meals three times a day, including at least one hot meal.
Camp location: The 17th-century Renaissance House in Svätý Jur is a national cultural monument. A house that breathes history. Svätý Jur is a viticultural and winemaking town with typical terraced vineyards located near Bratislava. The town is surrounded by unique terraced vineyards at the foothills of the Little Carpathians. The historical center of Svätý Jur was declared a town monument reserve in 1990.
How to get to the camp: By train to the Svätý Jur railway station or by bus to the stop Svätý Jur, Krajinská.

Local partner: The Civic Association (OZ) Renesančný Vinohradnícky Dom was founded by two families – the Grňo and Lörinc families, who started as INEX volunteers at Čierny hrad. The goal of the association is the renovation of the historical building of the Renaissance vineyard house in Svätý Jur. The house dates back to the 17th century.
