La Maison des Bateleurs, created in 1996, is part of the national network Solidarités Jeunesses. Volunteers from all over the world come to share an intercultural experience, working and living together.

About the Project

The project focuses on strengthening youth participation, inclusion, and active engagement in society. At the heart of the seminar is permaculture, explored as an educational, social, and ecological tool. Participants will discover how permaculture principles can inspire sustainable lifestyles and responsible citizenship.

Led by a specialized team of young practitioners, experienced permaculture trainers, and professionals involved in youth and ecological transition projects, the seminar combines theory with hands-on practice.

Through interactive workshops, outdoor activities, and group reflections, participants will gain practical and theoretical permaculture skills adapted to youth work contexts.
The seminar highlights permaculture as a means to strengthen social ties, develop autonomy, and build self-confidence. By working collaboratively, participants will enhance their leadership skills and their capacity to initiate community-based projects.

A strong emphasis is placed on intercultural encounters between young participants and partner organizations. Sharing diverse experiences and perspectives will foster mutual understanding, cooperation, and European solidarity. The project also aims to demonstrate how permaculture can serve as a lever for social inclusion, civic engagement, and ecological awareness. Participants will explore group dynamics, cooperation strategies, and the challenges of integrating young people into a more sustainable society.By the end of the seminar, participants will be equipped with new tools, strengthened partnerships, and concrete ideas to implement impactful initiatives in their local communities, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable Europe.
