The Solidarity Garden is an inclusion project for people who are facing several social difficulties. The workcamp will be an opportunity for you to work together and take part to this human adventure. Since 2001, our organisation welcomes workers in various orchards, farm, beehives and organic vegetable gardens. Members of the organisation come each day in the solidarity garden to pick their vegetables mentored by specialised volunteers and workers. We also lead environmental education actions for youngsters. The garden is like a pond between nature et cities.
For 10 years now, we host volunteers from all around the world on this workcamp!
From the village of winegrowers to the walls of street art and urban agriculture, this adventure will make you discover the city differently. Volunteers have optimised animals' shelters, decorated workers' house, created pedagogical beehives,... Their involvement has made possible more than we could have done on our own.

For two weeks, you will take part in the farm's life and help workers in their everyday tasks of organic farming, beekeeping and animal care. This year you will also participate in the construction of a green wall for the farm: several techniques will be transmitted to you and creativity will be required for this activity. The workers of our local partner will be assisting you in all these steps. Do it yourself, simplicity and environmental learning are part of the program!
A building is witnessing a renovation process during the workcamp. We count on your energy to help us shine a new light on the site and welcome youth and adults in a newly beautiful place!
The volunteers will sleep in tents inside the Parc Saint Lazare. Toilets and showers are indoor. Daily life will take place under several big tents that will host the kitchen and the free time/leisure space. Camp leaders and volunteers will pay attention to have a responsible, local and balanced diet. Thanks to the garden, you will have some fresh and local products!
You will be actor/actress of your stay, and will participate to daily tasks (shopping, cooking, tidying up, cleaning etc...), based on an operation that you will have decided upon together beforehand (e.g., use of schedules, constitution of pairs...). You will cook in turns for all the participants. It will be an opportunity to show your culinary skills! Camp leaders will help to organize the rotation and ensure the smooth running. The facilitating team is made of 3 qualified leaders: a director, a camp leader and a technical facilitator. The aim is for each one of you to be an actor/actress of your stay, while respecting others and community life.
Wi-Fi is available.
EXTRA FEES: reduced to 250€ for international volunteers. Pay attention! Our national participants in France pay the regular 360€ of extra fees. International volunteers coming from our partners in other countries than France pay only 250€ of extra fees

Swimming pool, kayaking, archery, artistic activities (land'art), debate projections with other groups of young people ... Very close to the city, 45 min away from Paris, you will discover the capital of France. Near the garden, you will be able to visit ecological farms and do nice natural excursions.
Due to Covid context, we ask you to respect the sanitary rules we will introduce to live a friendly moment with confidence and serenity, in a place where workers and volunteers share the same space.
Unfortunately the workcamp and accomodation sites are not recommanded for wheelchairs.
Globally on our teenage camps, we chose to book half of the spots for French volunteers. The aim is to allow a maximum of young people to access intercultural learning, to promote volunteer's commitment as a first step and then experience international workcamp abroad.
Extra participation fee 250.0 EUR
